George W. Bush may have put US in a quagmire, in pointless land war in Asia; may be deeply unpopular and live in a bubble, but he is not like LBJ, as my military base anecdote proves, so there.
Actually, Greenfield's piece proves that Bush is worse, but he's too Kristof-y nice-centrist to emphasize the point.
