Re: Gore's Speech
Atrios is right to say that probably the thing that will piss off most Reactionary/Fascist/Republicans is not Gore's points of principle but his constant hammering at Bush's performance using the terminology of the business world: over and over Gore says that Bush is "incompetent."
Of course Bush IS incompetent, even to his own vision, such that it is. But R/F/Rs like to think of themselves in the business context as sober darwinists who reward merit and sack the weak or inferior. Everyone already knows that Bush is inferior intellectually, and the R/F/Rs have always been nervous about that fact, but now that Iraq is obviously a disaster the CEO hired by America, Inc. will have to face some sort of repremand by even his ideological stockholders.
